Luma Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 8, 2026
Luma helps visually impaired users find, search, and review accessibility information for public places.
Information We Collect
- Account information such as phone number, email address and username. SMS sign-in verifies phone ownership and creates an account on first sign-in.
- Review content such as place names, ratings, accessibility notes, and objective navigation details you submit.
- Approximate location while using the app, when you grant permission, to find nearby places and sort results by distance.
- Speech and microphone input only when you tap a voice input control.
How We Use Information
We use this information to operate accounts, display accessibility search results, save reviews, moderate unsafe content, provide support, and improve Luma's reliability.
Service Providers
SMS sign-in uses Alibaba Cloud Number Verification Service to send and check codes and processes the phone number you enter. Luma does not store the SMS code in account data.
Luma uses Tencent Cloud International to host backend services. Apple speech recognition may process voice input when you use dictation features.
Your Choices
You can deny location, microphone, or speech recognition permissions in iOS Settings. You can delete your Luma account and associated account data from Settings in the app.
